Now its time to start another build with my B-52 done hanging high in the crowded skies of my private Airforce this one is calling on me When I finsh this one up I will start a card model build. I havent built a B-29 in 30 years its time for a B-29 As Monogram merged with Revell its the same kit Monogram produced in 1977.. The only difference is the color of the plastic and the decal sheet. The decal sheet gives you two different markings, 1. is the World War 11 version that was stationed in China 1944, and the other is a Korean warbird. The decal sheet is very well presented with two pretty pinup girls that the B-29 was noted for a good touch. I decided to model the B-29 in 1944 huge model it is a little bigger then my B-52 its a Beefy model very sturdy. Here is picture of the kit I am starting the build as of now I will shoot in a couple build report pictures before the night is over.

Here is the build report for the night letting it dry overnight. So far in the construction I have comopleted the fuselage sub assemblies letting these dry tomorrow I will paint the assemblies up along with the fuselage and do some detail work. I forgot how loaded this B-29 was in detail as that of the real thing.. its been 35 years ago when I last built this kit. Reviewing all the parts on the sprues and the beeflyness of the kit itself is hard to believe that t5his kit cost $12.00 back then now they are $50.00 and perhaps a little less depends where you can get onr at, I seen one on Amazon for $32.00 not a bad price. Durring the construction time has taken a toll on the moldings the kit is starting to show alot of flash here and there not much but I noticed 35 years ago there was none at all..In any case it gives you something to do Here is the build report for the night much more tomorrow.

is tremendous to have it in a glass case you will need to make it as, I have the b17 to 1/48 and it is huge and because this will be longer than a day without bread.

has beautiful interiors. Encouragement.

Beautifullllllllllllllllllll Now I know how you got your user name, Those B-29 petty girl paintings were a work of art in that ere the B-29s had thye most expressive and colorfull noes art in the second world war... I would love to see you model your B-29 Lucky13 on the nose it would be the first on all forums to have it done, for a tip get some clear decal paper and try your hand in painting Lucky13 on the decal paper if it suits you and your satisfied with the results take a pair of sissors and cut as close as you can on the outside of the painted nose art and apply it to your nose of your ship you be the first to have this on all forums it would turn some heads for certain.. Thanks my man And that you Wojtek for your reply too sir.

Here is the update build report on my B-29 I spent all day on the painting and detailing, First I airbrushed Dark interier green, on all compartments except the bomb bay.. The Bomb bay was airbrushed with Areo gloss aluminum dope this stuff acts like aluminum plateing. this it down with laquer thinner.. When the intereir green has dried I gave the interier a wash of black green after the wash had dried I gave it a dry brushing of silver to pick out the high lights I used it very sparingly didn,t over do it just a hint of dry brushing.. Its a shame when I get to the closeing of fuselage halfs you wont be able to see all the work i applied to the model.. when everything had dried to touch I gave it a coat of future to brighten up the paint work. Revell added on the decal sheet the instrument panels and the flight engineers controll panel a very nice touch Thank you Revell.. before I cemented in the interier compartments I installed the two Gun blister and the sights, the flight engineers window and navigator window was cemented in too. useing 5 minute epoxie the tail gunners windows were done the same way.. Larer before the painting session gets under way I will use liquid mask.. For now letting everything dry over night before I close up the fuselage halfs, here are the upates pix for the night.
