Got back on the spit 1 today.....started making small brackets for frame 9 and the control column mounting box....the photo does not show the effort!!! Also is a pic of some plates etc I have just acquired....

It was not too bad Glenn......I had to share my latest acquistion with you....I have always wanted a Spitfire plaque (these were given to individuals/companies/towns that raised £5000 for a Spitfire.....I had never seen one for sale....these items show Spitfires were truly a 'people's plane'

A bit of progress....instrument panel being fitted out.....the control box is coming together with jig fixing......sorry piccie is not more exciting....I am soon to get the control column mounts off the column ready for fitting....

Which part is that exactly Tony?

Basically it is the bit that holds the control column base. It fits between the bottom of frame 9 and frame 8 (frame 8 is the fame below the instrument panel and frame 9 is the frame below the pilots tally-wacker!!
