The Eagle Transporters were used by Moonbase Alpha personnel in the series Space: 1999. The Eagles were modular in design, with different modules used in the centre section depending on mission.

The Eagles used nuclear fusion rockets for propulsion and were equipped with gravity shielding which allowed them to accelerate to 15% of light speed.

Space: 1999 was created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, and was first broadcast in the UK in 1975.

Good work!

I remember it on TV in the States. Saw the set of DVD's with a HUGE discount here in Oz, had to sit down and watch it from beginning to end!!!!!!!!!

Cool... i have some (pretty banged up) die-cast Dinky Toys of 2 of the Eagles.

For I second I thought it was a Robotech related topic. 8)

Very nice!. Just got the DVD set from the library. What a cool series it was. When I was a kid back in the 70's my favorite toy was the big Eagle for the 3.5" figures. Ahhh, what memories...

Thanks all! :)

It was a fun diversion from the routine...
