Nice pics GG.
Is that the museum In Perris ?

Wheels
Thanks guys and no, Wheelsup, the museum is here in Redding. It's the Turtle Bay Museum and Exploration park. They have a feature called the Paul Bunyan camp that has all sorts of logging artifacts including this locomotive and a couple flatcars (also a custom flatcar) for hauling timber. The custom flatcars were for the ancient Cedars that grew around here...almost as large as a Sequoia or Redwood.

They currently have a T-Rex at the museum that I grabbed a few pics of, I'll post 'em over in my thread later

Enjoy

super shots SY3
Question I see on the steam loco shots its been double banked with a diesel loco is that for reliability of gradiant reasons?

In a nutshell, its to provide alternate power in case the steam engine "dies". The RR doesnt want the train to block the tracks as these are the mains and there are no detours for hundreds of miles.

Aaaah....to go back to the golden days and ride the Olympian, Hiawatha, Olympian Hiawatha, Empire Builder, North Coast Limited, The Daylight etc. etc. Steam powered or 1st generation diesels.
