A few shots from the Western Maryland Railway Museum in Union Bridge MD this fall. It's located in a 1900's depot on the current Maryland Midland RR route- Good for photos and items. The wooden F unit was cool. Sadly the Maryland Midland wasn't working when we were there which leaves it still on my list to photograph.
We stopped by Brunswick MD about a month ago and after looking at a few parked coal trains caught the Rock train with a GP30 on it and then a few minutes later right at dusk a work train pulled in-all moving power was second generation, nice.
Some shots of the Disney Christmas Story movie train and assorted locomotives from the Museum -My favorite is the Chessie GP-38, the restored roundhouse and last is a french 40/8 car given in thanks at the end of WWI.
thanks- it was a blast- I heard about the Disney train being in Baltimore Sunday morning while dressing for church (It was there that weekend only) so we just went straight there and didn't make church that morning. One thing I will say about Disney- they covered the admission for everyone that weekend.
I think I was more excited to see the Chessie GP-38 then anything- I'd been waiting to see one in person since I was a kid.
