well, a quality camera is half the battle, but knowing the right time place and having your gear set up for that "shot" is the other half...this guy is good...REAL good...
I took this video back in Sept. For those of you who haven't visited the deserts of the American west, here's something you might like. The vista's can be amazing.
Note - beginning about the 2:00 minute mark, the 29 Palms USMC base boundary can be seen in the background. More than once have I been watching trains while being treated to an artillery impact show.
Yesterday, I took these at Rice, California. Its long gone, but the Arizona California Railroad has some switching operations going on. This was taken on the long abandoned Midland/Blythe spur. Now used for car storage.
Syscom's pics reminded me of these photo's I took at the start of this year. Photo's aren't that great but I was driving at the same time (don't try this at home kids ).
