Great pic's Lucky. My heart is with the steam loco's, I loved to see them
pulling a freight along the B&O right of way near where I lived as a kid. Alas,
thos days are gone forever....

I have a question On the first page syscom had a photo of like 5-6 locamotives pulling freight cars. Is there only one engineer for all those locamotives.

Thanks

B17 ..... the engines each have a computer that can control and harmonize the "motors" throughout the lashup. All the crew has to do is tell the computer what they have hooked up and which one is the master.

Then any throttle control settings is synchronized for all of them.

Hey guys.....PICTURES!

Well, ok...but I don't have nearly as many cool Rail pictures to contribute as everyone else has...

But I do have a few unique ones to share.

To the north of here is a cement plant, which is a customer of ours, and they have a number of owned or leased locomotives.

One of them, No. 1235, is on lease from the Wisconsin Central. I did some work on it (two-way radio stuff), allowing me some neat photos of the controls.

They have one called a "cow" that's just about as cool as any railroad machine could get. It's about the size of a large pickup truck!

I love American Railways, I work for the British Railway Company, "Network Rail" and we have no scenery like the USA, I usually see the "Flying Scotsman" chugging pass me, dropping coal all over the place, we collect the coal and give it to collectors.

Here's some pics I took on Sunday of our local Historic train the "Steam Ranger". It does day trips down to the coast on two Sundays a month. Its on the to do list.

A couple weeks ago, I was headed downtown on some errands and noticed some UP equipment on a siding near the Redding Depot.

As luck would have it, I had my Pentax with me, and was able to grab a shot.
