Thanks Gang for your wonderful replies on my Albatross flying Boat, for todays update I will post another tomorrow with more results to the finishing color schedule........ Between my Group Build and this build I will be a busy man all of he honey do ;list is done with I can start building again. As to the update build report I attached the outer wing panels to the center section of the wing... there are no wing spars in the kit I went ahead and made one from boxwood I inserted the spar through the center wing protruding through the outer wing panels.. this will give additional strength needed for the in tire wing structure. Next I will sand the outer wing joints that have been filled with filler. and the final primer coat will be added.. Then thye painting schedule will follow.

Back at the build again, for the update build report I have most of the assembly completed and I added the final primer coat. The wing floats will be added later after they have been painted...... The slow process will be the painting of the model since the great folks of Trumpeter neglected to add the wing walk decals and the tail band and the wingtips they will have to be painted, a lot of work to say the least,The undercarriage has been added and the fuel tanks are added as well.. The kit gives two sets of undercarriages one plastic and the other is metal I elected the metal ones they will give the model much more added strength to carry the weight of the plane. not very many parts to the kit around 200 or so parts complete the kit. So far in the assembly there are no bad fit issues other then a lot of cleaning is done due to the sprues the sprues on trumpeter kits are everywhere a lot of cleaning is done to achieve a good fit. The kit in General is not to bad of a kit way over priced for what you get, No more Trumpeter kits for me I am not that rich to afford such lavish life style kits . Here is the update build treport fellas on the albatross.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Back to the build tomorrow I will have her all done and get ready for the next GB. So far on the update build report the aluminum has been added along with the Rescue bands next I will add the black deicer boots and finish up with the 10 remaining parts and the decals will follow. A great kit thus far my only beef is that the price I paid for this kit they should have at leased produced the yellow walk way decal and the other rescue markings As I am typing this build report I amagine that there probably a company who already produced this decal along with other markings painting the yellow is a challenge. To late to wait for the decal the job is done I have some clear decal paper I airbrushed gloss black on it I will make 3/32nd striping for the border separation between the yellow and aluminum finish. Here is the update build report of my Trumpeter Albatross.

Probably best to paint the walk way lines Boats. Unless they are multi-piece, decals that large are a nightmare at times. Model is looking real fine. And, again, I love your metal paint jobs.
