Official "Planes of Fame Air Museum" YouTube Channel

Something a little different to go with the pictures.
I found Planes of Fame's YouTube channel. I didn't know that they had one.

Here's a video of their P-38, 23 Skidoo, taxiing at the February flying event.

I am in the crowd making my own video of the P-38 somewhere. ;)
I've uploaded it to my YouTube channel but IMO this one is much better.

The crowd at February's flying history event seemed larger to me than the one in January that featured the "New build" Flugwerks Fw-190. There was also one lucky 14 year old who got to take a ride in the P-38. He won this months raffle of an airplane ride. Normally it is the L-19 Birddog that they give you the ride in after you win the raffle. This month it was winners choice. That had to be a ride of a lifetime. 8)
If you look closely a the P-38 video you will see him hunched over behind the pilot.

I thought, for me at least, I got some pretty decent shots of them towing 23 Skidoo to the taxiway before the flight demo.

This is the first test of the P-59 flaps in several years. Unfortunately I was unable to get the entire test since they started it before I knew what was going to happen.

It's a little blurry since I was in a hurry but I was also able to get a picture of the flaps exteneded before I started taking the video.

The Planes of Fame A6M5 was going to be the featured aircraft for the December monthly event. At the moment it is being disassembled for shipment to the Tokorozawa Aviation Museum in Tokyo, Japan. This is a going to be a 5 month temporary stay in Japan before returning to Planes of Fame next year.

The Zero left today or it will be leaving tomorrow for the ship. I have to go through them again since several did not come out but I do have some pictures of the plane in its disassembled form.

I am looking forward to seeing the P-59 fly also.
