Cedar Waxwings on a gloomy about to get a crap load of snow day...

Nice, always difficult to shoot against the brighter sky. Had several hundred snow geese fly overhead last two days in huge V-formations. Natch no camera handy. Just caught one small formation

I live in Orange NSW and am pleased to say that over the last 10 years or so there has been a nice recovery of some birds and tree dwelling marsupials. They had been listed as all but extinct as local populations, due to a number of threats from feral cats and dogs, loss of tree cover (of the right kind, being a vegetation alliance known the box gum grassy woodland, which is vegetation under severe threat these days)

However, the superb parrots seem to be fighting back as the following photo shows:
