Really looking forward to this one! Always wanted to see a build of this kit, and wouldn't mind one myself (USAAF version), even though there are a couple of inaccuracies apparently. Don't like the price though!

cheers guys ,i have not yet found any photos of this particular aircraft but i doubt there are any as KH616 came on strength with 3 squadron on the 18-11-1944 and was shot down on the 26-12-1944, the pilot w/o j.quinn managed to bail out, he was wounded and captured by the germans(quinn was the last casualty of the squadron). There are problems with this profile the spinners were painted red not blue and this aircraft may not of had the malcom hood in photos i have seen they had aircraft with both types and were operating both mustang 3's and 4's (P-51D) at the same time.

Here's a photo for you Bruce. It's from the book 'Southern Cross Mustangs' by David Muir, together with a couple of profiles of this aircraft.:rolleyes: It's not like the Trumpeter version, that's for sure!

Cheers

Peter

thank's ozhawk for the photo i have now got a copy of southern cross mustangs and it's a very detailed read.work on the mustang has been slow but here are a few photos so far, this aircraft is nothing like the profile and the trumpeter instructions are rather a problem too.cheers
