1/32 Tamiya P-51D MUSTANG

- The cockpit floor - it was not painted if made of metal or painted with the ANA 612 if was wooden.
P51 B, C & D flooring :
- sta 75 to 86 - floor cockpit front : 24ST alclad 0.05 : no finish paint.
- sta 86 to 118 - floorcockpit front intermediate (L&R) "5 ply birch plywood 1/4", to have one coat non skid paint, black spec NA2-1301 applied over plywood sealer on upper surface & edges only".
- sta 118 to 138 (P51D 118 to 129) - floor cockpit rear intermediate(L&R) : 3 ply Douglas fir waterproof plywood 1/4"
- sta 138 to 148(P51D 129 to 147)- floor cockpit rear (P51BC 1 part, D: L&R parts) 3 ply Douglas fir waterproof plywood 1/4"

Hello guys its been a long while but I did get the decals orderd last week I should have them this week.
 
Got the decals time to finish.

Looking good. Which scheme are you doing ?
Not sure if the profiles are correct for either 'Jas' Storrar's aircraft, or Mike Donnet's.
Baron Donnet's had a blue and white striped spinner, and Jas's certainly later at least, had his initials as a code - JAS.

I'm doing H.J.E. Clarke Terry I'm trying to find out about the wheel bay colors.

Although not relevant to your model, here's a correction regarding Baron Donet's aircraft - spinner was blue and red stripes, not blue and white as I accidentally stated in post #173.
Wheel bays during WW2 were clear-lacquered alloy, with the rear wall only (the main spar) in zinc chromate. Insides of the gear doors were the same, although the reinforcing panel on the larger, wheel doors, if fitted, was often in yellow zinc chromate.
