Looking good old boy, but I agree about the overall 'silver'. A coat of grey to the crankcase, and a few spots of other colours here and there, and Bob will be ones Uncle, don't you know!

Yep gotta agree, I know Grumman had a blue-grey shade for the crank and transfer case, and I have seen several shades on Corsairs, but she does look spiffy "hot rodded"

There was a matchbox F-4F kit many years ago that had a painting guide on the back of the box, if you followed that you got a USN aircraft in Pea green upper and bright blue under!
 
Looking good Jan my f7f engines are painted about the same.
