It is not far I just jump on the Yamanote line and go down the track

Ikukunitama Shrine aka Ikutama-san.
This shrine is said founded together with the country of Japan about 2,670 years ago.



This gateway style is called Kabukimon. Not special for the shrine.

Yes, Jim. It's basically free in Osaka. Not free in Kyoto

Because I used to live in Tokyo and I haven't been there more than 20 years.
I was born in a northern city Sendai and there are many my hometown people in Tokyo.
I simply miss them even on TV. This is why

No Emperor, no Tokyo but Edo.
北京(Beijing), 南京(Nanking or Nanjing) and 東京(Tokyo or Tongkin in Vietnam).
All mean the capital of the north, the south and the east.
京都(Kyoto) was also the capital.
