Painted the control panel last night, installed it and closed up the fuselage. Also assembled the wings. Much of the work to convert it from an E-3 to an E-1 and repairing some surface sink holes has been done, but I still need to finish closing up the old cannon holes and re-scribe some panel lines. A test fit showed that the wing joint would not be bad, but not as good as my Spitfire.

Question: What color should the area under the leading edge slats be painted?

Hows the interior detail ? If its anything like my Do-17...not tempted

I made their 109K about ten years ago. It was a nice kit. The interior isn't as good as Tamaya, and the panel lines are not as crisp, but the cockpit looks plenty good with a closed cockpit and you can always get a true details resin cockpit fairly cheaply if you want to open it up.

Here's some pics of the K. as you can see you can't see muck in the cockpit.
