That pic is fantastic mate! please post more!:)
Graeme that is fantastic! How many did you do and what else?

Painted six. Got married, bought a house and she thought they were "dumb." :(
Tossed five of the paintings out to make way for the kids pics, but kept one.

All in all I think they're pretty cool.

Very nice Andy! Do you know what the titles were to be?

Something else that I liked about Commandos is that they could be informative. They use to have a sort of pictorial survey of all things military which could be found on the inside covers...

WWII aircraft ( circa 1969-70 )...

Choppers and obscure aircraft ( late 70's )...

And there were some odd titles/stories...

Have you seen this site?...

Damn shame that mate, would've liked to have seen them.

Not off the top of my head. I do own all four issues the paintings were used on, but most of my collection (600+) are stored away and would take me awhile to sort through.

Not to mention the stars of cricket or soccer!

I have a few of those type, however I never enjoyed those as much as the WWII stories..

No, but it looks excellent! Having a quick browse through revealed that a Mr Ian Kennedy is the artist that I favour the most. He is the man behind "eyes in the night" and "roof of the world" [Edit] infact he did all of the pictures in my last post. Love his work!!8)

That brings back memories of going back to France when I was a kid, they had almost exactly the same thing but in French, great war time cartoons that were stories, I remember the artwork was great. Used to save them all and bring them back to the states, sadly they've been tossed.

That's unfortunate Torch. I'll be hanging on to my collection me thinks.

Finally got my hands on the volume of Air combat stories today. Have been searching book shops and even thought about getting it from the UK then it turns up at work!

12 best aircraft stories, looks great.

Will get stuck into soon! :)
