Never heard of those Commando comics!! Looks like somebody was doing their homework - the covers are great!
That pic is fantastic mate! please post more!
Graeme that is fantastic! How many did you do and what else?
All in all I think they're pretty cool.
Painted six. Got married, bought a house and she thought they were "dumb."
Tossed five of the paintings out to make way for the kids pics, but kept one.
Not off the top of my head. I do own all four issues the paintings were used on, but most of my collection (600+) are stored away and would take me awhile to sort through.Very nice Andy! Do you know what the titles were to be?
Not to mention the stars of cricket or soccer!Something else that I liked about Commandos is that they could be informative. They use to have a sort of pictorial survey of all things military which could be found on the inside covers...
WWII aircraft ( circa 1969-70 )...
Choppers and obscure aircraft ( late 70's )...
I have a few of those type, however I never enjoyed those as much as the WWII stories..And there were some odd titles/stories...
No, but it looks excellent! Having a quick browse through revealed that a Mr Ian Kennedy is the artist that I favour the most. He is the man behind "eyes in the night" and "roof of the world" [Edit] infact he did all of the pictures in my last post. Love his work!!8)Have you seen this site?...
