I musta missed that one, Bill.... No, no rhinestones. That little "hoochy-coo" double circle thingy, under the stabilizer was enough.
That took quite awhile to do. Anyhow, it's all masked and will be painted, today, with the Intermediate Blue. Pic's later today.

That little diagonal stripe on the vert stab is a Yorktown marking......

tricolour scheme is a better choice than the single later colour.....but thats just my 2 cents....

I agree, I think the three-colour scheme looks good, and more so on a large scale model.

It doesn't matter, Lads, it won't be there. Here's where we are today, the Intermediate Blue is done, and I've painted the insides of the aileron spots with the Green Zinc Cromate. Next will come the Dark Sea Blue.

Not to hi-jack my own thread, but do you Lads remember the balsa/tissue A6M2-N "Rufe" I was building in GB #2 ? I'm working on it once again. My question for you gents is, do I re-open the thread in GB #2 or just let it die on the vine. It's actually close to being finished !!

I just had a look, and while the question is above my pay grade, it looks to be almost finished. It would make a fine "hanging buddy" to the Hellcat!
