Good one Glenn, if I wasn't so busy with other than building I was gonna do a 1/32nd 51D in CANG, California Air National Guard scheme. They were the first warbirds I remember seeing out of the Hayward California air port when I was about 8 years old.
BTW, are you going to use the two seat glass like the plane on the pole? Look forward to watching this series builds.

Moving along

Fuselage closed, wings together and all seems sanding and polished.

Most of the markings will need to be painted and I've been looking at how to go about it and decided to do every thing but the NMF before I join the wing to the fuselage to make all the masking and painting easier. I dint think this will pose a problem as all the wing seems are in the NMF areas.
