damned nice, Wayne. A quick question. Just how do you cement the fuse windows in and then mask then without knocking them out? I have never mastered that as well as I would have liked.

Nice Wayne as always, can't wait to see the whole thing together

Mike, going to do some more painting on the wings and fuselage before I bring it all together, this Mother is BIG..!

Dale, the plus with this is the windows had extra broad edges on the inside so careful fitting and gluing made sure of real good adhesion. You can see on the pic below, the white areas where the edges extended on to to give plenty of gluing surface.

I've always painted first then put in the windows. I came across these GRABIT STX that are great for holding small parts and putting them in place. The clear window glue has also helped. Can't imagine masking something so tiny.

How about this then Mike, a 1/144th scale Zero canopy...:D

That's just crazy! I'd be having a nervous breakdown about halfway through the masking.

Many times with windows like that (like with the Goose right now) I mask the windows before I glue them in.

Wayne, everytime I think you are out of surprises you come up with something new. You even have the panel lines done and an antenna wire!!! You have to have a set of micro-manipulators or slave faries to work so small.
amazing does not even cover it

Thanks Mike, that Zero was a neat little build, that canopy took an hour to mask...cutting those tiny pieces to fit! and creating a fine antenna wire and attaching it well that was another little challenge...

Currently I'm cleaning up the upper turret and observation dome they are not perfect and need some improvement with sanding and polishing...here is the main turret, you can see the 'marks' to be removed....
