Well it's been a while there Boys but I have had some progress today.I was about to finish the canopy when I did some more reading because of Dan's dilemma on the bulge and noticed that this G5 had a special headboard(?) behind the pilot.So I made that piece in about 15 mins. just painting it now also the canopy hooks up in the middle in rear canopy on the rear bulkhead underneath with a coiled wire got to make that also.Well it's already made just got to install it.Just saw the pic up above and the rims are black arrgh!!

Looks great Kevin! Never seen canopy armour like that one - wonder what it was? You're right by the way, the wheel rims were normally semi-gloss black, but check your ref's, as I have seen B&W pics where they look lighter, on some late-war '109's.

This is were we were talking about in Dan's thread on the G5 pressurized cabin and the little bulge on the fairing.Anyway I do not think it was any armour plate(have to read again
) but a plate to hold some silica gel bottles.I usually think of silica to hold moisture like those little pacs you get in your electronics.The belts came out OK but the buckles seem a bit big to me at least but its what I had.

Well not alot done,still working alot of six day weeks.So work has been an hour here and there.Today I got the wheels muddied some (maybe) give your opinion and ideas to do it better,I am open.I have also started working the wing panels really light right now,can you tell?it's really light.
