That's it. I was sure the way should work better. Plastic is plastic. ;)

No. I shouldn't. All pics show that the cover was up at the front of curved part of the first pipe. Could you post a pic without the detail but with the pipes put into the slot only? I mean a similar image you posted above but without the cover. Here is an attempt of a guy here in Poland. I think he made it quite correct. Please notice that he cut off the incorrect pieces like you did. Then filled the front part of the slot in order to get the base for the pipe covering. I hope it can be useful.

Thanks guys. Where it was...

....and where it is...

It's hard to see but the new piece is tear drop shaped. Not 100% accurate but better than it was. I'll fill in the gap tomorrow. The good news is I can still remove the exhaust. I was going to remove the seam on the exhaust but the photos Wojtek posted above shows a weld seam. I will drill out the ends

Thanks gents. Wings are on. I have some plastic card the will fill the gap on the left just nicely and Milliput for the right and a few other little spots.

This little gap is caused by a lip on the lower cowl piece. I may thin it or remove it as it serves no real purpose.

SWMBO returns home today after a 10 day visit with #2 daughter in Kamloops. This meant me and Dawg were left alone to run rampant without adult supervision.....8 hours leeway to get the house back to normal

Thanks Terry. Probably a good thing I've curtailed my "drink ones body weight in beer" days. In the end, I decided to remove the lip. Needs a bit of final clean-up on attachment points but a better fit. When I gently press it in place it is almost seamless. Note the thumb print: a bit of glue must have come through the seam when I held it in a death grip for almost an hour. Most will be covered by another piece and a bit of sanding should take care of the rest

Just finished reading through the entire build Geo, nice stuff! I look forward to following the rest of it. :thumbright:

Thanks guys, got the seams done last night and just got back from PG 10 minutes ago: 4hr. drive for a 30 minute appt. Should have it ready for priming tonight
