Thanks guys. Crowbar removed.....it was an issue. I ended up removing all the detail and replacing the ribs with stretched sprue. Still prepping parts for paint

Finished spraying the innards and noticed that the seat bulkhead doesn't have a slot to allow the seat harness to pass through. :banghead:

This shows a BoB Spitfire with armour and mine AR212 was built about 18-7-41. Just had to go back and make sure I was in the right thread

Update time. Its not that I haven't been doing anything. Painting the cockpit little bits, adding another colour, touching up the first colour, touching up the second colour, etc. Gloss coated the Innards green with Liquitex, added a wash using Citadel Nuln Oil and flat coated with Liquitex. Added an oxygen hose using coiled wire. The cockpit out of the box is not quite accurate. I added the extra bottle on the right side using Andy's build and had a bit of a time lining it up until I realized a few ribs were missing. Lots of detail missing on the side walls as well.

I managed to get the slot in pretty much the correct spot on the seat frame however, the way Airfix has the seat armour/seat attached to the frame it will sit a little high, almost covering the slot. The seat was painted with Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red and dry-brushed with XF-64 Red Brown. The instrument panel is pretty disappointing but should be okay with the canopy closed. Making some tape seat harnesses and then will close this up

Looks good George. Bear in mind this mould dates back to 1979/80 and was one of Airfix's first 1/48 scale kits.
