Keep sanding along whole the join.There should be left a thin white line like at the area without any putty now.
For the sanding use much narrow stripe of sandpaper folded twice only.

Looking good. Sand these much more.You have to get the effect of the line. As I can notice the same line starts to appear on the another side too. Keep sanding.

Wait you mean sand it all off so the putty is filling the present line?
