Now a short briefing before we can go farther.

The first thing is how you have to keep the model ( wing) when the disk will be mounting. There are two pics. Unfortunately I don't have the 1/48 scale wing but the 1/72 scale one should be enough to explain the way.
look at them. As you can see the wing is grounded by most of my fingers ( you can say whole left hand) right? The thumb is squeezing the wing from the top.It is importan your fingers can underpin a bay area.

In the third pic you can notice that these strips into these bays aren't going horizontally but are a little bit down from one side.Can you see that?

OK. Now get some training. Here you are the next two pics.Set the pencil with a disk over the bay hole and go trough it down and up.Notice you can operate the disk inside the bay by pencil rotating. It is for the strips setting at a correct position. Try to do it a few times to be sure you can do that and operate without any problems. Because of lack of the wing I have had to use the cardboard template.But I think you catch the idea.

I have about a half hour left before I must head to bed. I don't even want to imagine how late it is there!

OK. Now apply some of the CA gel into the middle of the disk. And put it into the bay.Rmember of holding the wing with your hand, setting the disk at a correct position ( stripes have to go like in the P-40 model wing). Then tighten the disk with the pencil and keep at the position for a while to let the glue get hardened.Then slightly unstick the pencil. The disk should be glued middle to the bay center.

Oh yes the disk setting into the bay determinates the stripe direction right? So these strips shoiuld go in that way.
