The flap, I know the issue, like the other one it keeps getting snagged of the side, the other flap I countered this with a knife.

The polishing part, what does that mean? Small graded sandpaper?

No, no... polishing is usually done with another thing.But if you want to have a nice smooth surface it is needed to sand a such place with sandpaper of two grades in order to remove these quite deep scratches. The first grade can be for instance 900 and then 1000.

, the polishing, if painting isn't done this week, the hobby shop (not sure if I am going next weekend or not) has Tamiya polishing compund, useful?

Take it easy.... why to buy the Tamiya compound ( of course you can purchase it for future it is really useful) when you can use a piece of newspaper.

A bit of a problem, I got the darned flap to fit, but you can kinda,sorta see the huge gap in the last picture, hmm?

Harrison flaps will be mounted as opened. So the gap is not important . The most important at the moment is if the flap fits to the bay as the closed one. If it fit correctly it means that the flap bay inner surface is correct sanded right?

When closed there is a sizable gap between the wing and the flap on its right side. But I don't think sanding is the issue, it's a good 1cm gap..

Oh... it can be. If you set the flap at the middle of the bay the gaps from left and right will be quite small.

Yes leave it. You can measure the length of both flaps to compare if they are of the same one. Use your ruler.
