Great shots Eric. The black and white makes it so that you can see the gun powder grains burning out away from the barrels. One day I hope to be able to shoot as well as you do. My hat is off to you sir.

I think it's cool how Eric was even able to capture the percussion cap's discharge on some of the infantrymen's rifles!

Thanks. It was at a childrens museum today. They had all kinds of things for the kids to dress up in and play. I grabbed a firefighter's coat and helmet and my wife caught the photo. I'm not a firefighter, I leave that level of heroics to someone else.

Got a quick question. I have been taking photos for my company's 2010 catalog, using a Square Perfect photo cube, with two lamps with 110V, 30W fluorescent bulbs. I broke one of the bulbs. Is there any bulb I can use that I could find at a local dept. store?

I'm not real familiar with photo cubes, so I am not sure. You may be able to find one at Home Depot, or somewhere like that, but I don't know if the bulbs are specialized.

Here is a pic of the bulb. Need to find something fast as we are coming upon our deadline fast!

The only places I can think of for something like that are a home-improvement store, or a specialty lighting store. Although some camera places may carry them as well.

Ok, thanks Evan. I'll give Menards a try tomorrow. I was worried it may be a specialty bulb only available through a camera shop.

It still may be, but you can at least try other avenues. I would bet it would cost more at a camera shop.
