Getting the photo to turn out might be the easiest part of this whole deal. Trying to get my siblings all on the same schedule could prove a insurmountable obstacle!
Six years ago this week, I posted about the birth of my daughter. Today, we had her sixth birthday party. I got a few nice photos of her, but here is a look back, and one of today.
Thanks guys. It's been crazy busy around here and I already have the first airshow of 2012 under my belt. Today, I have another shoot that will be historic, and kind of sad. Anyway, the 37th annual Cable Airshow was last weekend and we had great weather for it. It was chilly in the morning and late afternoon, but the rest of the day was awesome. The banner below will take you to my shots of the event.
Here are some samples:
SBD Dauntless
PT-22 Recruit formation
Rob Harrison- Tumbling Bear
Skydivers, who jumped out of a D-Day veteran C-53!
The C-53 Skytrooper, a veteran of D-Day, Market Garden and Varsity.
I forgot to mention that the poster for the show featured my photos as well. All but 2 of the photos used on this poster are mine. So I got some extra copies and had as many performers as I could find at the show autograph one poster. I figure it will give my kids something to fight over someday. I already framed it and put it up on the "I love me" wall.
Excellent shots Eric! I hope I get a few airshows this year but I'll probably have to travel to get to them if I do. And I have a question. What is the difference between the C-53 and the C-47?
Thanks guys. Aaron, the difference between the C-47 and the C-53 was that the C-53 does not have a cargo door, just a troop door in the rear. It was designed only to carrier troops and no cargo. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same.
