Back to the airplane photos. I spent a couple of hours today out at Santa Paula airport to do some spotting and visit with some friends. I was shown the best spot to be to catch photos from at Santa Paula. It was awesome!

It was fun with the 50-500mm. A LOT of zooming in and out. But when they got as close as the 172, it was really cool!

Branching out a bit. I purchased some backdrops. I am using do-it-yourself lighting and so far, it's looking pretty good. I plan on ordering a 50mm f1.8 lens next. Here are some sample from the photo shoot with my little hams.
