I really like that idea of yours, Eric!

When I get back from Europe, I'll dig around and see if I still have some older Kodak stuff up in the closet. If I remember right, there's some cool lense filters and stuff that aren't all that common these days.

If they're still there, then I'll donate 'em!

Eric, great photos you shot glad you got some covers in too
I was wondering if you have a tiny bond like camera, I got one that is unused, still in carry case with its odds n' sods in my cupboard, runs 3.5mm film (no, I dont have any for it; rare a rocking horse poo to find - a civilian 'espionage' camera - by Mintex IIRC)

Thanks guys. Dave, you made me remember I still have a Cokin filter system somewhere in a box. I should add that. I'd be interested in anything you want to donate. 8)

Razor, I don't have any spy camera type cameras in the collection yet, but have been looking out for things like that and some of the old Soviet cameras. I have seen a few on e-bay, but they can be pricey. I found an old Nikon F film camera from 1961, still in the box and never sold that I would love to have, but at $7,000+, that's not going to happen. Especially for a film camera that I won't use.

Okay, I'm back. I've had a tough time with the business of late and have even thought about getting out of it altogether. Sometimes the planets align and say "The hell you will". Today, we flew out of Camarillo on a gorgeous day on a flight to San Luis Obispo for lunch and return. It was 2 T-34 Mentors (one was the photo ship), a Nanchang CJ-6A and ....wait for it... a freshly painted P-51 Mustang "Miss Kandy". It's painted in the color scheme of the 375th Fighter Squadron, who were part of the 361st FG that flew out of Bottisham. They converted from P-47s to P-51s in May of 1944.

Thanks Karl. I am a better photographer than videographer, but it is just a helmet cam. I thought you guys would appreciate it though. This mustang is serial number 44-73751, C/N 122-40291. Prior to 1963, there is very little known about it. The only thing I have found so far is a landing accident at Brooks Field Texas in March 1947. According to the serail number database, it was "returned to USA" in July 1945, which leads me to believe it may have been in Europe.

If anyone can fill in the blanks on it's pre-1963 service, I would love to be able to provide it to the owner, and to the MustangsMustangs site.
