.... I got some more work done today... but now I have a stupid project for school!

I've just kicked this into the non existent 20th gear....

Almost dont with the painting!!! And it looks awesome too!!! No lumpy areas or anything!

Hey, that's looking good H, even though the photographic studio is a little bit strange! It'll be ok now, but for future reference when doing bare metal finishes, paint the solid colours first, then mask. Solid in this case being the black and white stripes, and the blue. It's easier to paint them, let them thoroughly dry, and then mask the relatively smaller ares, than the other way around. It also prevents any 'silver' creeping onto the areas where solid colours will go, which can re-act and show through. Good job mate.

If this makes a difference or not... I am taking the landing gear, gear doors, and the drop tanks from the Revell kit.

No probs H - a bit of cross-kitting eh? First step on the way to major conversions!

Yeah! The ARII drop tanks are awful.. and the Revell wheels are more accurate although there really don't seem to be an kits with completely accurate P-51 wheels in this scale.... oh well!

Try the True Details resin wheels - available in 1:48 scale for the P-51 from Great Models and possibly Sprue Brothers.
