Hey guys.....here is the next step of the SM79....must say I am very happy for I finished the "Rumanian Markings" for this plane. I will be printing them on decal paper this weekend and show them next week...Question??? Does anyone have photos or plans of the Piaggio-50?...this was a very strange airplane which served as experimental platform for the four engine Piaggio P.108 B. I only have some pictures from which I plan to start out the plans for the model, but if I can get more pictures the better. I will show you guys how to make "plans from photos" by "interpolation" of points and some math. I have done three models like this and even if they are not exact replicas they sure look nice:lol::lol:-----

All present parts....

Partly done left landing gear with small pieces of bamboo. The Doors and Air scoop are made from pieces of cardboard soaked in fast drying cement which makes them "hard as rocks"

I goofed on the front of the right engine.....mistakes in wood are easily solved by just adding some bits and sanding again to shape.

so now on to finish the wings all together and stick them to the fuselage....then the Bombardier´s cabin and the pilots.....just awfull Fun!!!!!!

I made this "RO-1, the most used aircraft during the Italian campaign in Ethiopia in 1935", well its broken now...so I will make a larger one. Not solid, it will be "open ended" so I can put some stuff inside....coming in 2010....

Really beautiful work! I'll have a search of my library to see if i have anything on the Piaggio - it's fairly doubtful, but if I have something I'll post it here.

Hi Guys.....

Lost myself for a while there no?.....in the meantime I finished a very strange SM-79 made for Rumania and later modefied in that country with water kooled engines which made it very fast...here is.

1:72 Scale, Solid Mahogany wood and Balsa wings, Bamboo landing gear and plaster wheels. Heated plastic windshields, wire, paper, card, thread and home printed decals on inkjet paper.
