most good teams stay good by good drafting , a good farm system and scouting not just tanking the season to ensure number 1 pick as with Sid , Pavel Datsuyk was 171 st pick finding the gems in the draft is how a good team stays good , an example being the Bruins who hold the record for conseectitive seasons of not missing playoffs at 32 they kept finding the gems

Opening day today.
Detroit got knocked off by St. Louis 4-3 and Florida beat Chicago 4-3.
Can't wait see how the Pens do this season. Don't really expect them to do as well as last year though...

Praying for the Bruins as usual hope they they make it by the chaff and advance a liitle further in playoffs bad start though got beat by Washington with OV getting 2 . Bad for the Bruins good for my fantasy team

Lots of Bruins played on the local Junior Team when I was a kid , Awrey, Don Marcotte, Marotte, Lorentz , and Sanderson. Terry Oreilly was born here so like many locals we are an Ghetto of Bruins fans in this sea of Leafs and Sabres fans
Pens one their first two games. Still think it is going to be a long season though, and I really doubt they will repeat. I hope for it though...

The Bruins snuck by the Islanders with a late 3rd period rally , the kid Tavares looks rell good less has a ccouple of goals in first 4 games , the future has sure brightened for the Isles
