Watched that earlier tonight. Not a great fan of his channel but there are dribs and drabs of useful info. I wish he'd cut the crap at the beginnings and just dive right in, but hey, it's his style, I guess.

He's one of three or four presenters whom I will watch on occasion but not regularly precisely because their presentation is shit even when the subject matter is great. Plus, I hate his long-winded introductions.
I'm a writer by hobby, and talking to a fellow writer a long time ago about Jack London, we agreed that while Call of the Wild was pretty good, his other stuff sucked, and Rob (not our Rob, my buddy from back then) said, "I know, right? Tell me about the fucking dog."
That's how I feel about IHYLS channel. Quit trying to be too clever by half and serve up the goddamned dish already. Tell me about the fucking dog.

Roberteaux almost always was, except how he played a D chord on his guitar. He'd barre the second-fret and slap the middle finger on the B-string, third fret, which is simply heresy. I tried to help him but he was too far gone.

As I peruse through some old threads, I see responses from those that were with us and to me at least, I miss them. Eric, Joe, Dan, Charles, Parisfal, Catch 22, Maximowitz and others. These are the things that make me hate getting old. I remember the Mods when I first joined. What a lively bunch. Most are gone now. Thank Gawd we still have Chris and Marcel. Just my 2 cents.
