Well done Charles.I like the pants. Although these were of a bit different shape at the upper part.

And as for heat, it's supposed to be 30 friggin' degrees C here for like 2 weeks straight. I'm not used to the heat at all, and certainly not for this long, good thing we bought air conditioning last year... At least it's not humid.
 
i'm really enjoying this build 8) i made the spitfire a few years ago but left it as a skeleton then added detail to the model... like engine/air scoops/fuel tank/full interior/wheels/armour plating/guns all from balsa wood

keep the pictures coming we want more pictures

Just remember, you asked for it. Here's a few more. The wing has been
firmly mated to the fuselage. Of course, I had to put my finger thru the
bottom of the wing..... Tomorrow we'll try to get the wheel pants attached.

FWIW, I don't like the way the wing tips came out on the Bf109. the FW-190
or the Stuka. Next build I'll fabricate solid balsa wing tips.

Thanks, Matt. The camo will be the standard for the Stuka in 1939-40.
This will be the mount of Staffelkapitan Oberleutnant Bruno Dilly of 3./StG 1.
Wayne was kind enough to get me the info on aircraft markings for this
plane. I hope to do it justice.

Tonight we did an over light sanding, one more coat of 50/50 mix of clear
dope/thinner. After it dried I attached the spinner. While that was drying
I started painting the canopy [swartzgrun]. By the time I finished that the
spinner was dry, so I painted the spinner and prop with RLM70. Everything
will dry overnight, and tomorrow I will do some more on the canopy. See
how far I get, I may paint the wheel pants by hand. I have to start working
on the trailing edge slats, too.
