MY WORLD (5 Viewers)

I've encountered blackies but no grizzlies thank God.

My cousin and I ran into a black bear at a fishing resort in northern Minnesota along the Gun Flint Trail back in 1968. I was 5 and she was 6. We were carrying eggs from my family's cabin to hers. The eggs went flying and we ran like hell screaming our heads off. They came and shot the bear.
That kind of memory sticks with you!🐻

Spooky stuff Glenn. Me and buddy were fishing on Squawka River at the head of Jervis Inlet, prime grizzly country. We were paddling downstream in a plastic Sportyak and came upon a large log jam which made the river fork. Buddy went down the main stream and I went down the fork looking for the easiest portage. I climbed down off the log jam and across the river, about 60 metres away was a grizzly, foraging in the grass. I looked around for climbing trees but there was only poplars around. The grizz stopped eating and looked at me. I took out my Uncle Henry 5" folding blade, said quietly to the bear, "I'm just gonna go back the way I came", and met buddy back at the boat. Fastest portage we ever made to get to running water

This is pretty much bang on:

Neat stuff. I'm going to see the Sam Roberts Band on the 19th. First concert I'll have been to in years.
Probably sold out but I'm not going to tell the wife that the band is close by

I didn't know that either. Will have to see if I can beat you.
