Never tried Slivavic Karl, so can't say if their similar. 'Cheers' anyway! :)

Dave...

Hazi palinka (Home brew moonshine) is the best, much purer and better taste than the bought stuff. Most common types of Palinka are plum and pear, but as someone told me, the only things you can't make it from are bananas and pineapples :) Mez (Honey) Palinka and Paprika (Green pepper) Palinka are great too...

Staropramen, Pilsner Urquell, Zywiec or anything similar will do me!

Jan, 'Geat minds (drink) alike'!
Love those first two myself, especially the Pilsner. Haven't tried Zywiec yet though.

Paul, I also drink as cheaply as possible, depending on taste. The best beer was the home brew me and a mate used to make in NZ - 12 %, and we could brew 22 litres for the equiv. of 3 pints in a pub!

commercial production or not? I mean long runs or short runs.

short run because the French lorraine homebrews are the richest I've ever had,

great runs the spanish mahou 5 stars (it is a lager),

the Franziskaner Spaten

and for the days of meetings and parties a good Caribbean rum that I like most is the Cuban Santero

Funny how it is, the place I work for have just one kind of Staropramen, pop into Scottish/English inspired pubs here, three of them, Sir Winston, Bishop Arms and Dalwhinnie, they've got three different Staropramen on tap, Premium, Dark and Granat, plus a sh*tload of other nice.....errrrmmmm...'things'!

Here I am with my daughter Lily at the American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale New York. A great living museum.
