Just curious. Our town has about 2 officers on duty and something similar happened and they called in another town to help as well

Nice collection, Jan. Great pic's of the accident, Aaron. As a youngster I use to live within a stones throw of the B&O
tracks in Baltimore. Got my tail fanned more than once for playing on the parked cars. If mama knew I use to hop a
freight to school, she'd have killed me.

Now, I live in Va. Beach, VA. And, there are no, repeat, no running trains in Va. Beach. We have tracks that go from
Norfolk to Oceana, but they are no longer used. The city wants to use them for "light rail" transportation. Won't see
it in my lifetime. However, trains run in Norfolk quite often. I plan on going down there one day and just sit and wait
for something to come by. Most of the tracks downtown are N&W or Norfolk/Southern.

My parents grew up in Chesapeake and I spent some time around that area, Va. Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth,and so on. I loved going to the air shows at Norfolk NAS and Langley over in Newport News. I have been out to the Coal piers in Newport News also. When I was about five years old my father took us for a ride on the 611 J from Waverly, VA. to Wakefield, VA. I can remember standing beside the tracks when it pulled in and at that age it was HUGE. It was a ride I will not forget.

I'm not good at CPR but here goes.

The caboose is located in Damascus, VA. beside the Creeper Tail.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the only metal trestle on the Creeper Tail.

When I got back to Abingdon this was parked on the siding.
