Took a walk at sunrise this morning with camera in tow. We only live two streets back from one of our many small national parks which are formed around a couple of mountains. Here are some of the shots.

A selection of shots of our local residence. Note in the fellow lurking in the tall grass behind, I didn't see him until checking the photograph.

An old fallen tree and the bit of lichen growing on it.

One of our local and native wiled flowers.

One of the many dams that were built in the days before Canberra's existence. It was sheep grazing country.

The morning sun coming up over the 'yard arm'.

Shades of early morning sun. On the hill line in the background is our Telecom Tower though here nit's blending with the sky.

Our very own very localised orchid which I believe only grows in the vicinity of the mountains that forms this small national park.

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

Had a little wander round my back yard once I realised that the balloon wasn't about to land in the garden. He got close though.
