Thanks guys, its nice to be able to share our adventures in this lovely world we have.

Nice shots Vic, do you know the name of the light red flower?

Aaron, I believe that may be pitcher plants, which is a carnivorous plant and possibly seen here at the end of its flowering cycle.

Thanks for dropping by folks and for your kind comment.

After all this traipsing about the wilderness it time for a little salvation. We stopped for a spot of lunch and walking the meal off, found this delightful little church. Known as Cheticamp Church in Cape Breton we were told that it originally was built on the other side of the inlet, but with the town developing across the water, the church was moved stone by stone and rebuilt.

After this stop we crossed over Cape Breton Island making our way to Halifax, but on the way stopped of at the Graham Bell Museum. Now I was always taught that Graham Bell just invented the telephone but apparently not, as he was much involved with the early days of flight and also in hydrofoil water transport. Here are a few of his ideas on display.

The first powered flight in Canada was by the Silver Dart in 1909 and it flew from the frozen Bras d"or Lake which is close to where Vic was visiting above. The aircraft was built by the "Aerial Experiment Association" which was formed with Alexander Graham Bell's assistance.

Good pics Vic and looking forward to Halifax.

Thanks for looking in folks and I'm glad you're enjoying the show.

Our first port of call in Halifax was somewhat sobering as we visited the graves of those who lost their lives when the Titanic went down, I don't know if any of you saw the Titanic exhibition that toured the world a couple years back, it was an awesome exhibition and seeing these graves was quite sombre.

Moving on we then had a lighter moment or two with a visit to the Halifax public gardens. They are magnificent gardens and wandering round I could not resist taking a tone of pics. The fascinating aspect for us Aussies, were the number of Bumble Bee's, which are only found down under in Tasmania.
