damn, wayne!!! look at that cockpit! look at those instrument panels!! I've NEVER seen ANYTHING more detailed in my life! oh man, you gotta tell me ho you did that!, please! >_<

The procedure is pretty much identical to the cockpit work in the Fw190A-9 Siegfreid Baer thread with main difference, on this model I individually cut out and placed all the separate decal dials on the instrument panel.

Once the panel was painted and drybrushed each dial had a drop of clear gloss applied and left to dry. Then each was cut out and carefully placed in its dial position, pressed into place, hit with a bit of decal softener and left to dry. I did 2 or 3 at a time separate from each other so as not to touch them while setting. I would leave them for about half an hour, do something else and then do some more. Took most of a Saturday afternoon to do. Once finished another drop of gloss to each dial.....and I thought it was a bit of alright too when it was done!!:D

wow....cutting out each individual gauge, heh I'd never be able to do that for a while. lol cos I'd be afraid of screwing it up, plus I'd not know where each one goes, unless I study an FW-190 cockpit.

Usually the kits come with the dials as one large decal in the shape of the control panel, so as you cut them out just put it on the corresponding dial. Having said that, I doubt I'd be able to do it either!

When I met Wayne he had an extra pair of hands for those fiddly bits

Lovely cockpit dials Wayne. Some of my cockpits consist of a quick whip over with Humbrol 78 :(

The next time you have camera in hand, Wayne, hoz about a pic of the
Wayne Little Trophy Case ?? I think we'd all like to see the awards that
the models have brought home.
