Any 3D CAD software will be interesting and useful for those who are interested in mechanics.
Not so much different from handling a SLR digital camera once read manual.
I spent one month to read it all ten years ago.

My working steps are like follows.

1. Select work
2. Draw x-y lines
3. Add depth toward z
4. Render

It took 5 to 10 minutes at first but it's seconds now :)

Here comes the front landing gear of K5Y.
The shaft is fixed by thick rubber bands as shock absorber.

So this is the main landing gear fixed tightly by the piano wires.
Next will be the tail one.
