If you're brush painting H, the don't rush it all in one go. Apply the first coat as evenly as possible, and let it dry thoroughly before applying the next. It will NOT go on smooth and even in one coat. I find that a first coat of matt white, followed by one, or two coats of gloss white, makes life easier and gives a better finish. Bear in mind you'll be giving it a matt clear coat eventually, so no problem with the gloss. Don't worry too much if it isn't of even density, as long as it's not 'lumpy', as the stripes were relatively crudely applied as you know, unless done a few months later, in the factory or MU/BAD.
