An Old Temple in my Neighbourhood

In the second photo of this temple I think I see an iron collar with rivets on it.
So I was wondering if in all temples in Japan timbers are just dovetailed or this is only valid for particular temples.
Cheers

Thanks for your kind comment, Elmas
This kind of round shape pagoda is rare to see in my country.
Yes, these iron plates are carpenters' idea to connect and strengthen wooden parts to form the round shape.

Thanks Merv and Wayne for your kind comments too.
Our country and people will welcome you all anytime

In my case, if I might tell frankly, I have understood recently that I am not so young as to be a guide or guard for my guests any longer.
I used to receive dozens of guests from foreign countries a year as a young ambitious businessman but now I'm just a willful old man who likes walking alone with his old camera on a sunny day.

We are having long holidays now from April 29th to May 8th (basically 5th) which we call "Golden Week".
Please let me share several photos which I took today. It was a beautiful day.
Thanks !
