Another Korean Town which is located about half an hour walk from the Korean town I introduced last time. Located to the south-east area which used to be called Kudara (百済. Same as ancient Korean country name Baekje) in the ancient time.

Miyukinomori Shrine in the town which worships ancient Emperor Nintoku who often visited ancient Koreans in this area about 1,600 years ago.

Himekoso Shrine which is located between the two Korean towns I introduced. This worships ancient Korean Prince Himeko who came to Japan about 2,000 years ago. He was from country of Shiragi (新羅) not Kudara(百済).

Most of the first generation of Korean new comers there were refugees of the Jeju Uprising occured in South Korea during 1948-1949.
According to my Korean friend, they were generally intellectual people and as many as 40,000 fled to Japan.
