Thanks ,tail end charlie and vB, for your comments!
Those swords I saw are all real ones and you can buy for about USD 5,000.00 cased with no decoration or 15,000.00 cased/decorated like the Samurai style with the brim. They have registered numbers given by the government.
There is one more sword shop in my town.
Shinpachi
the problem with those swords is etting them home even the ones without an edge are considered weapons.
I will check the law. Thanks.
TEC, your last comment shocks me, those swords are art pure and simple, the blades as the steel is folded hundreds of times, the polish of the steel, the wrappings of the handle, the case and all its decorations. that is art.
Shinpachi, i echo the comments of messy1 please comment as you choose and do not worry about offending anyone. words are slippery things and have many meanings, just be honest as we will be with you with no intent ever to offend. please speak your mind here
TEC, we all have our likes and dislikes and no one can dispute your taste. personally weapons are tools neither good nor bad.
a hammer is a tool it can be used to drive nails or break heads. if i want to drive a nail i want the correct tool. if someone or ones try to break into my home i want the proper tool. if i'm gone from home for several days i want my wife to be able to deal with any problem. in the words of the old west: "God made man, Col Colt made them equal"

Where is your comment about my latest photos
I took them all begging pardons from the owners
Thanks!
I would love to see a handmade, authentic samurai sword in person. Would love to see the details in the blade, and thinking about how it could have taken a person over a year of non-stop work to create and fashion. Something like that is incredible to me.
