Bill Yoak Passed Today

The aviation community has lost another very good individual today. Mr. Bill Yoak passed away today. I do not know the details of his death. For those who don't know who he is, he and his son Scooter built, fly and maintain the P-51D Quick Silver. He also was responsible for the maintenance of the Corsairs on the TV series Baa Baa Black Sheep, and probably many more aircraft that I am not aware of. I met him in 2009 here in Abingdon at the Wings and Wheels show for the first time and got to talk with him and his son few other times at small airshows in the area. He loved to show children the aircraft and was always ready to answer any question they may have about them. I did not know him very well at all, but what I do know of him, he will be sorely missed.
