Now THAT was totally worth the wait. That model's got gobs of impact. Well done.

Thanks mates. Decals went on tonight. Photo evidence shows practically no stenciling (thank God!!!!!!) save for the octane sticker that has yet to go on.

Dude, you totally suck and you're lucky I never made it down to Calgary. ;>)

Mandy says congratulations, BTW!

Thanks all. Getting close to the end now - never been closer.

Wheelie thingies on, slapped the canopy on after painting the frames inside and out (yes the restraining line and shoulder belts still to go in), replaced the pitot tube which had zero chance of surviving the build, having been molded into the wing tips (brass rod, a little thick maybe, with a wire stuck in the end), added the rather unique stripes to the pitot which conveniently came with the Aeromaster sheet, and gave the whole thing a very light dusting of watered down Tamiya light browns to tone down the stark blacks of the markings.

EDIT: Looking back on the pics that port nav light is a bit of a shambles ain't it. Will need to touch that up.

There's a little more engine detail to add, antenna, engine cowl, belts and exhaust/oil stains then the whole thing should be wrapped up this weekend, thought there may be another hike in the offing.
