Damn! There goes the idea of an affordable NMF B-29. Many, many years ago I did a '51 in bare foil (kitchen, not the new fangled hobby stuff - old fart rant off). A ton of work, a ton of patience, a ton of white glue, several artist eraser blocks, and ton of Reynolds (at least for a 1/48 kit). Learned to burnish foil, learned to really use a Dremel, learned that foil has a grain. Will I ever do that again? Hmmmmm, lemme see, pound my testicles flat with a mallet or old school NMF? Hand me the mallet someone.

Why did you paint the whole thing nmf,just to cover it up with the blue? I must be missing something
Looking great Andy. I think the nice thing about these 56th FG blue schemes, is that there seems to be no definitive answer on shades of blue, so there is a fair degree of 'modeller's leeway'. One of those rare occasions where they can be almost painted to individual taste!
