Here's one of the flaps. I glued a piece of sprue to the top edge, puttied and sanded, and, well, here it is.

The flaps have had several rounds of putty and sanding, the underwing bay is finished and the inside edges of the wing where the slots and flaps fit have been sanded down to a more scale effect.
